Law books never run out. You should’ve figured that out before.

You know it’s exams wee when a whole row is absent from class.

So I’m in the library reading and there are all these books looking down on me. i could hear them taunting me ‘you haven’t read 1% of Us yet’ and that devilish laugh echoing almost made me feel like a pebble. So all good lawyers got to at least touch all of these books? It’s true. I could count with my fingers the books i touched inside the library. Poor me.

They just love
Being looked at.
They sit still
Acting pretty
And calling me for
A hot sex any time
Of the day.
They smile slyly
Like they are ready
To devour me.
Oh such liars!
I am almost certain
Its a trap.
And when the page
Turns the love-making
Begins.
They steal my time
And fill the gaps
In my head.
They consume me.
And i consume them.
It’s almost a love affair
I wanna quit.
But they know
I will always go back
To holding them
And caressing each
Page to the next
Gently as i eat the
Words.
And when im done
With one, it whispers
Back ‘you know
You haven’t got
Enough of me yet’.
They appear in dreams
In a coffee shop -
Books reading books
Laughing and talking
Incessantly like
They are the smartest
Books who ever drank
Latte. Or cappuccino.
And in my waking
They lay still beside
Me - naked and turned
On its back.
Their pages crumpled
After a wild
Night in bed.
And when i speak
I am a certain
I speak their words
And small spots of
Wisdom floats in the air
While they stand
In applause
Because i
Have learned.

This is me studying.

Exactly what I feel after reading half-way through a law book when 6 hrs away the exams will cover the whole darn thing!

Oh why is it so hard to open that book!
